Our aims can only be
achieved with full support from parents and guardians; by
involvement in certain assemblies and at the annual thanksgiving
service; by honouring the obligation to pay school fees by
the due date; by attending parents’ evenings and cooperating
on all matters concerning pupils’ performance, both
at school and at home; by ensuring full attendance; by supporting
extra-curricular activities; and by adhering to the school’s
Christian ethos and dress code for pupils. THE AIMS CAN ONLY BE ACHIEVED WITH COOPERATION
AND FULL SUPPORT OF PUPILS AND THEIR PARENTS. PARTICULAR AREAS
IN WHICH SUCH COOPERATION IS IMPORTANT ARE SET OUT BELOW:
1. Positive Parental Support and Involvement.
a.
General assembly when pupils
perform for the whole school.
b.
The annual thanks-giving and
worship service.
c.
It is expected that parents
and guardians will honour their obligation by paying the
school fees termly or annually, based on prior arrangement
with the school. Parents and guardians who breach the
agreement to pay such fees jeopardise the pupil’s
continued attendance at school.
2. The Achievement of Academic Excellence
a.
Chrysolyte relies particularly
on close cooperation between Parents and School on all
matters concerning pupils’ work. Parents are expected
to attend Parents’ Evenings to discuss academic
progress.
b.
Homework is an essential part
of the education at Chrysolyte. Parents with worries connected
with homework should contact the teacher.
c.
Parents undertake to keep
their children in full attendance throughout the school
year. The school should be notified as soon as possible
if there is absence through illness.
3. The Promotion of Excellence in Extra-Curricular Activities
a.
Parents are asked to support
extra-curricular activities as much as they feel able.
Pupils are expected to attend practice as required. Such
is designed for the benefit of individuals, for the team
or groups involved, and because such activities are an
integral part of school life.
4. The Maintenance of a Purposeful, Friendly and Tolerant
Atmosphere.
a.
A high standard of discipline, good manners and respect
for others is expected from all pupils. A dress code is
also published and a high standard of appearance is expected.
